Small Scale Steam Boiler

This was my first foray into 'live steam', this is a small vertical firetube boiler, still on the to finish list, it was briefly on display a number of years ago at the Bradford Industrial Museum as part of a display from Bradford Model Engineering Society.

This was the first time at working with small scale stuff, it's really fiddly, the bolts were all made from scratch so that I could have a nice low profile hex head, but I must have made nearly twice the number I used!

The boiler is 'still under construction' recent elements have been a miniature water gauge and I have a very small pressure gauge to fit,  the high pressure steam relief/safety valve sits in the head, still to do is wood cladding and brass banding to complete this element,  a water injector port and water pump with pre-heat and possibly a steam super heater so that it provides dry steam when running, although it's probably too small to do that efficiently.
